A thief has escaped being lynched to death by an irate mob after he was caught stealing armoured cable in Owerri.

Nemesis has finally caught up with an armoured cable thief after he was apprehended by residents in Umuguma Owerri area of Imo State. After he was caught in the act, he was was stripped unclad, beaten and was about to

be set ablaze before police officers rescued him.

According reports, he was nabbed at Umuguma back of three decking at Abba father and in the process of being lynched, the police came to his rescue. It was gathered that the man has been terrorizing the neighborhood, breaking into people’s shops before his capture.
