The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a rape suspect identified as Suleiman.
Suleiman and his accomplice Musa reportedly snatched a year old baby from her
mother and gang raped the baby in a bush located in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to report, the two suspect tricked the woman to board their motorcycle, apparently snatched the baby on the way and took her to a bush, where Musa and another person raped the little baby girl.
Ahmadu Jibril, the father of the baby reported the case to the Central Police State in Funtua Local Government Area. He said that Suleiman connived with Musa and another person to attack his wife on her way returning from Angwan Bawa, a town located in Danja LGA, and raped his daughter.
DSP Gambo Isah, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, confirmed the evil incident, noting that Suleiman who is a secondary suspect had already been arrested, while a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the other suspects.
The baby was rushed to the General Hospital in Funtua.
