FEED BACK FROM AUTHORITY ABOUT THE MOODLE TEST FOR YEAR ONE/TWO STUDENTS IN UNN

Raw information from Chris on E-MOODLE SOLUTION

Did you miss the e-moodle test?

Did you encounter any problem while writing the test?

Do not be frightened nor panic because your interest is protected.

After the class representatives meeting with the V.C, the issue of the e-moodle test was raised and a lot of upheaval arose as a result of this. The ICT director Mr. Chukwuma was called to address the issue. He started by stressing on the importance of this new development, thereby criticizing the students who are not ready to welcome this new development. Mr. chukwuma stressed deeply his disappointment on the students who are not willing to accept this new development saying that most of the students who condemned this new development are those people who failed the test and because nobody was there, they try to put the blame on e-moodle. He asserts “go and tell your friends to read their books and stop putting the blames on the e-moodle.” After his speech,

a class rep (name withheld) attacked him “sir, the question has not been answered as long as we are concerned, you are supposed to proffer solution rather than putting the blame on the students who are just expressing their dissatisfaction on the system.” After the meeting, our representatives met him individually to know the way forward. One of our representatives suggested that it would be better if the moodle is opened for all students for a period of two weeks, so that they can access the moodle in their own convenient time. Mr. chukwuma welcomed the idea but he said that their team is working on something else. He asserts “it is a wonderful idea but what you should know is that this is the first time we are having such thing and we understand the flaws but right now, we are having a plan B since this one seems not efficient and effective enough. We are planning of scheduling it maybe department by department or faculty by faculty.” Another representative asked him what will be the fate of those who were unable to access the moodle and those who did but was scored down. He said that those who were unable to access the e-moodle test will be given the opportunity to do so as soon as possible but as for those claiming that the system marked them down, they are advised to send the ICT customer service email using their student email address. The format of the email should be Full name, Reg. No, and complain to
